We are looking forward to Dressage in the Wine Country this Saturday, September 7 at the Sonoma County Fair Grounds. The Marin-Sonoma Hoof Rehabilitation Center will be participating with a booth and in addition to two presentations in the afternoon.
I will speak about the anatomy of the hoof and its bio-mechanical functions as well as describe the steps taken to rehabilitate an unhealthy hoof back to soundness. Presentations are at 3pm and 5pm.
For more information and to buy tickets, visit the Sonoma Chapter California Dressage Society website.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Congratulations to Vasco Varriale and Ethan Parker, winners of the MendoMagic 30 mile ride! They rode their barefoot horses Tempest and Bandita.
I came in third riding Sox in Easyboots. Sox started his transition from shod to barefoot only 5 months ago.
In addition to our placing, one of the horses under our care for hoof rehabilitation, Kellie Joe, came in second on the second day of the ride. Kellie Joe has been in hoof rehabilitation for the past year. Congratulations to Kellie Joe and her owner.
Welcome to our blog.
Our desire to share the healing process here at Sonoma-Marin Hoof Rehabilitation Center as well as our equine adventures , has resulted in our new blog. We look forward to providing insight into how we approach barefoot hoof care and allow you to share in the journey of the horses here at the center.
Its a process that inspires us. We hope it will do the same for you.
